High School Sweethearts, Forever Lovers
Lily and Alex’s wedding at Thornbury Lodge felt like stepping into something timeless. Romantic, emotional, and filled with the kind of love that only comes from growing up alongside one another.
High school sweethearts, these two have shared almost every version of life together. From teenage years and long distance, to big moves, rugby seasons, and building a life side by side, their story has always been grounded in choosing each other, again and again.
Set beneath the trees at Thornbury Lodge, their ceremony felt soft and intimate in the most beautiful way. The late afternoon light filtered through the gardens and their favourite people gathered close.
Lily walked down the aisle looking absolutely breathtaking, while Alex tried his best to hold it together the moment he saw her. There were tears, plenty of laughter, and so many little glances between them that said more than words ever could.
Every part of the day felt incredibly intentional without ever feeling overdone. Romantic and elegant, but still completely relaxed. A true reflection of who they are together.
The entire day was beautifully brought to life by The Romantics, whose styling and coordination created the most incredible atmosphere from beginning to end. Thornbury Lodge already has so much natural beauty, but every detail felt thoughtful, elevated, and completely true to Lily and Alex.
As the sun disappeared, guests made their way into the marquee where the celebrations continued long into the night. Candlelight, music, incredible food, heartfelt speeches, and a packed dance floor!
Their ceremony was full of storytelling, warmth, and emotion. It was truly such an honour to stand beside them as they became husband and wife.
